Gary Sorenson

Gary grew up in the bitter cold of northern Minnesota where he spent his childhood sitting in an ice house on any one of Minnesota's frozen lakes waiting to spear Northern Pike. In high school his family moved across country to Eugene, Oregon and blacktail deer became his new passion. Finally, as Gary started his own family he and his wife, Sue, settled down in Eastern Oregon where elk and mule deer hunting was simply part of life.

About 15 years ago Gary got bit by the archery bug, and these days Septembers are for one thing: bugling bulls in Idaho. Come fall, you might find him sitting on a wallow or hiking the high country chasing the elusive wapiti, although the dream that's most eluded him is that of a Shira's moose. Twice having drawn tags, he's tasted the awesomeness that is moose hunting, but his pursuit is not yet over.
