Augustus Arnone is an adventurous pianist who has made a home at the edge of transcendental extremes in the modern repertory. Specializing in works which push the boundaries in virtuosity and complexity, he's particularly interested in those which explore innovative compositional media or technological approaches. He is a founding director of Collide-O-Scope Music, a New York based contemporary music ensemble with a focus on combining diverse media forms.
Coming in March of 2015, Mr. Arnone is curating "Michael Finnissy: A Retrospective." Website: www.collidemus.com/finnissy_fest/ -- a 4 night festival of music spanning five decades of the composer's career, and including new works composed sepcifically for these programs. On March 23, Mr. Arnone will perform a solo recital, which will complete his traversal of the entire "The History Of Photography In Sound" cycle, and then on March 24, an ensemble music program with Collide-O-Scope Music.
