If you’re looking for the best in a big, tight, fun horn band specializing in New Orleans and Mardi Gras party music and general over-the-top fun, you’ve come to the right spot. The Big Shoulders Brass Band plays everything from traditional Dixieland to James Brown funky grooves, and anything in between.

We’ve appeared with Dr. John, Stanton Moore, Paul Sanchez, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Mojo and the Bayou Gypsies, the Soul Rebels, the Inconvenience Theater featuring Steven DeRosa from Boardwalk Empire, the Wild Magnolias, Bonerama, and Re-birth Brass Band  to name a few. We’ve also made appearances on WGN Morning News, WCIU You & Me This Morning, Jerry Springer, and at Chicago’s 176th birthday party with Mayor Rahm Emanual, as well as were a regular staple of Mayor Richard Daley’s Halloween Ball.
