Just now, while building an event site, I was adding links to the page for mobile devices using the maps:// scheme — My thinking is that people will be able to get jettisoned to the maps app on their phone, which is easier to use than a website.

Then, I made a (perhaps) interesting discovery—

Are we going to see Maps.app on OSX sometime soon?

Update: folks say its for iOS simulator, but either way I think a maps.app is coming soon
