I have orders that often ship from multiple vendors each having different tracking numbers. Example, I sell cases of chemicals. I may receive an order for 4 cases of chemicals. 1 case might ship from my Ohio vendor, 1 case might ship from my Texas vendor, 2 cases from my Calif vendor. I need to be able to add multiple tracking number for the order so the customer will know when each case is expected to arrive.
Robert Brown tag:ideas.bigcommerce.com,2008-02-07:Event/21183906 2015-02-24T15:31:46-05:00 2015-02-24T15:31:46-05:00 Please add support for PayFlow Pro "Hosted Checkout"
Rob Holmes suggested:
PayFlow Pro now supports "hosted checkout" with a secure token, however, BC does not currently support that configuration. By using hosted checkout pages with a secure token, the merchant adheres to compliance rules for handling customer data in a secure way: data is stored on PayPal so that it is not exposed to compromise. PayPal strongly recommends that all users of Gateway checkout solutions take advantage of the secure token and the hosted checkout pages. Doing so provides automatic compliance with processing card industry (PCI) standards for protecting cardholder data.
Rob Holmes tag:ideas.bigcommerce.com,2008-02-07:Event/21182388 2015-02-24T12:57:48-05:00 2015-02-24T12:57:48-05:00 Let me accept Backorders for out of stock items in my store [updated]
Backorders - enable the ability to accept an order for a products or options which has reached zero inventory, and then decrement inventory below zero.

Martin Pollmueller said:

Is BC listening? I'd like to have the ability to also set different retail prices so that also changes to reflect any options chosen. I have attached three combined screenshots showing my issue. The retail price does not change while the product price does, making it look like customer's are saving LESS than they actually are.

Martin Ogawa said:

I was hoping this was working now. You need to be able to display the retail price/sales price on a SKU-by-SKU basis. As I mentioned before, the Bulk Edit Import allows you to attempt to import a value in this field, but it will NOT add it to the database. There is also no error generated so you think it's in there. Big commerce platform does not allow me to account for royal mail prices in view of parcel dimensions and I therefore cannot give correct shipping quote (overprice or underpriced shipping)

Scott Parkin said:

Bigcommerce this would really be a good feature to have, not just for Royal Mail but for all couriers. We use Interlink as one of our main couriers. For smaller items we have bags that doesn't matter on the weight but as long as the item fit in the bag it is a set price. It would be helpful if we can set a cost up for the maximum dimensions of the bags.

This also would enable us to enter maximum dimensions for items. Many retailers sell to their end consumers at prices below retail. Using BigCommerce, it is difficult to set pricing to match the typical street price AND to sell direct to retailers/wholesales that operate with a % off retail price discount structure. Solution: Allow pricing in groups to be based off either “price” or “retail price” (a field that already exists) Additionally, in the coupon details, allow the discount % to be applied to either the “price” field as it is now, or off “retail price”. A radial button next to Discount % where one can select “price” or “retail price” would allow us to choice the price calculation model based on customer or coupon type. Benefits: BigCommerce customers will expand their customer base to include distributors, dealers, industry influencers, sponsored athletes by offering them a discount of retail, rather than only being able to provide them a discount off the street price shown on BigCommerce. This will make the percentage look more enticing to the "VIP" customer. With a lower percentage offered due to it being based off "street price" the "VIP" will go to the competitor that has there structure off MSRP, which makes them think they are getting a better deal through them.

David Thornley said:

Also would like ability to restrict a Sale price to certain customer groups (such as Retail only).

David Thornley tag:ideas.bigcommerce.com,2008-02-07:Event/21162624 2015-02-22T20:55:06-05:00 2015-02-22T20:55:06-05:00 Enable Brand Level Discounts for certain Customer Group [updated]
Enable Brand Level Discounts for certain Customer Group. This happens a great deal with government and educational clients. I want the ability to load a shopping cart, calculate shipping, but instead of going to payment, to output the totals with all taxes etc. as a quote. I would like both our inside staff to be able to do this as well as customers themselves. The quote would then be saved for the customer and they could arrange payment for it once approval had been received.

Roy Wristen said:

If I had votes available, I'd drop a couple on here. This would be like an abandoned cart in effect... all set except not paid for. We have a few customers that would probably like this available while they are window shopping. We have a customer that builds an order and then abandons it to add to it later, so it sends him the 'abandoned cart' email every time he adds to it. Eventually he does place the order, so he would probably appreciate being able to set the order as a quote or 'awaiting payment' without getting the reminder email. Could have another automated email section for quotes like those for abandoned, for those that want reminders about quotes to be sent to a customer.
We've also recently gotten a few government orders, and it would be nice to just send them an official quote. They also tend to make partial payments, which has required us to split it into two orders. We sent them as two shipments (as we were able to receive the stock from our supplier).
If we could split off a portion of the quote to an order, thus updating the quote for the remaining items, that would be nice as well.

Roy Wristen tag:ideas.bigcommerce.com,2008-02-07:Event/21146362 2015-02-20T17:11:35-05:00 2015-02-20T17:11:35-05:00 Fetch Shipping Quote List Box
Roy Wristen suggested:
This is a minor thing, but when building an order for a customer I click 'Fetch Shipping Quotes' and a box shows up with a list of our shipping options available. However, it only displays four and I must scroll within that box to see the others. Well, why not have that box adjust size based on the number of shipping options available? Sure, if there are 10+ then it might be a bit large... and maybe that should be the max displayed before requiring scrolling. However, with 10 or less do I really need to scroll a tiny box to find what I want? Another thing to consider is to be able to set the order the shipping appears in that list. Currently, the shipping options aren't sorted logically... (expedited, pick-up, express, priority, free, none, custom). I would like to re-arrange them to make more sense based on those most used in store (pick-up, exped, free, express, priority, etc). I don't think I need them in a different order but it might be useful to set a different order for the customer to see.
Roy Wristen tag:ideas.bigcommerce.com,2008-02-07:Event/21145170 2015-02-20T14:52:16-05:00 2015-02-20T14:52:16-05:00 Discount Rule generated prices should appear on the item page, not just in the shopping cart. [updated]
Discounted prices generated by a "Discount Rule" should be allowed appear on the product page, not just in the shopping cart. When using the straight percentage or $ off feature of the "Discount Rule" the discounted prices should appear on the product page. When customers are surfing through my shop they may not be aware that anything is discounted at all. I realize that we can go into the product page and add the "sale" price, but this is time consuming. I also realize that we can "batch" the sale price processing by exporting the items, changing the price in Excel, then importing the list again, but this is also very clunky and inconvenient. We do have an excellent way to get around this problem by going into the Discount Rules and creating a rule for, say, 20% off all books. As of right now, in order to see totals, one must print invoices and manually calculate.
You get my vote!

Ronni D McNeill tag:ideas.bigcommerce.com,2008-02-07:Event/21142374 2015-02-20T09:59:21-05:00 2015-02-20T09:59:21-05:00 videos in the carousel [updated]
There are many graphics, giphys, and other media that makes a website dynamic and interesting. So many of Shopify's themes offer videos in not only the header carousel but also throughout the page as you'd like as does Wix.
Great idea!

Ronni D McNeill tag:ideas.bigcommerce.com,2008-02-07:Event/21142114 2015-02-20T09:31:02-05:00 2015-02-20T09:31:02-05:00 Please add support for Checkout By Amazon [updated]
Please add support for Checkout By Amazon. From Amazon's site ... "Checkout by Amazon is a complete checkout and payments service for e-commerce retailers. Offer Checkout by Amazon to enable millions of Amazon customers to use shipping addresses and payment information in their Amazon.com accounts to buy on your e-commerce or mobile website. Customers complete purchases quickly and conveniently, without ever leaving your website." Other carts like Core Commerce and 3D Cart support CBA. Support for CBA should increase store conversions. Also, since Amazon Product Ads indicate a store's support for CBA, click through on Amazon Product Ads should also increase.

Julia Ellis said:

Would be a huge asset to my business and I'm sure others too. This converted amount appears at all stages, including in the checkout. However, what's passed to the Payment provider is the *default* currency, and therefore what our customers are charged will be different to what we told them they would pay. BC should pass on the users choice of currency to the payment provider (with the merchant taking the responsibility of setting the currency conversion rates so they actually receive an amount they are happy with) This will obviously have to be limited to those payment providers which support this functionality At a minimum BC should make it easy and obvious to customers that the currency conversion tool is approximate, and show on the checkout what they will actually be charged.

Ryan Popoff said:

Desperately need this. Great, but one of the big-ticket items was at a sales price that ended over a month ago! This is very frustrating; why bother to end a sale when a customer can add something on sale to a cart and get the sales price much later? I'm not sure if this is an "Abandoned cart" issue or not, as I had had my "abandoned cart" expiration set to 3 weeks, then played with the settings a bit before changing back to 3 weeks. Regardless, having the prices update for pricing changes or sales in the customers carts would be ideal.

Glenn S. said:

Got a response back from BC support, essentially acknowledging the problem:

"Issue Reported: Customer's can add an item to their cart that is marked down during a sale, and several days later or more checkout with the sale price, even after the sale has expired and the price has changed."

Case #01832347. It's now Feb 2015. This is something that is on the top of my need list. I just spent 3 hours trying to figure out a way that i could send an invoice to a new customer. The customer is from over seas, and via email inquired about making a large product purchase. I wanted to provide an invoice, with an added discount, and an additional custom built item not available in my store. I wanted to send them an invoice that they could click a link back to my store to complete payment. Exactly what Charles Davis was asking for in the original enhancement request.

Derek Eldridge tag:ideas.bigcommerce.com,2008-02-07:Event/21135962 2015-02-19T17:55:24-05:00 2015-02-19T17:55:24-05:00 We need site integration to bing / bing shopping. Since google charges now, bing is a better option. [updated]
Just as you offer integration to Google, can we have the same for bing. My products do not show up under Bing shopping, however they do show up under images. Before Google was charging, all my products were visable. Please please add Bing!

Tatiana Immel said:
