Pretty much what the title suggests. There are many peaks that I would like to summit at some point in time, but either because of their location or my schedule I am unable to do so. I would like to be able to add peaks to a "Climbing Wish List".

the pages I think need updated. i tried to create a route page but its archaic. help buttons are few and far between . i even messaged "is there a tutorial??" but no reply doing a page you create an "object" but no way to load several images in a normal way they are just vertical in a line. you go save object or save changes and you are stuck with no way to create another object --it needs changed it seems like it dates to 30 years ago

Make the site more intuitive, right now it's very static and there's too much information on display constantly. Also, i use google to find the right information on summipost. For example i search for "Zinalrothorn summitpost" to find the zinalrothorn page. You could improve the search function by being able to search on difficulty of a route. I know this must be difficult since there are so many different grading levels, and often description for a mountain say "Difficulty: pretty doable"

in the images section for a mountain, the image thumbnails are so small! increasing their size would make it easier for users to determine if they are interested in clicking through to the image link or continue browsing the thumbnail set

Implementation of ads on your website make it impossible to use on an iPad. The reloads make the page redraw and text beingnread relocates.

For some months like august there are tons of mountains so it doesnt matter as much but when I am trying to go early or late in the season it would be nice to have a list of suggested places to go.

SummitPost is a great site. I think the relationship/sex ads are kind of trashy and detract from the purpose of the site. But there they are staring me right in the face -- in the top middle of the home page. I like sex as much as the next person, but I don't think this is the place for it. Ads for hiking gear, clothing, accessories, etc. would make more sense.

Make browsing photos quicker and easier. Having to load a page for every photo is very slow. [updated]

I would say make browsing photos similar to FB where you can switch photo to photo rather quicky.

I, Mike Zimmerman, wrote this page originally back in 2002 before 2/27/05 and some of the photos are mine (including the main photo which is mine I took it in February 2002 I know my photos) and I have two direct witnesses to corraborate this; please remove Dave Daley's name and put the Page:By name as Mike Zimmerman. Overviewing maps, that indicate routes, mountains, ranges and so forth. much like a "google maps plugin". So you can have an easy and fast overview. And even a download to google earth maybe so you can exchange routes and modify them for your use on your computer.

Make it easier to search by country or range. e.g. if you put in Peru to the search box you don't get a lsit of peaks in Peru!

This problem can be easy resolved by locking each post with creators name and date of writing. (password protected) Then allow multiple posts of the same trip by other writers and their different view points.. Have a search engine that brings up all related posts of the trip. As readers, we can peruse, filter and gain knowledge from each individual post as we deem appropriate about each location and its specific focus. ie..technical climbing, ski descent, snowshoe outing, etc. This site and the info presented is very subjective and based on personal experience and abilities. This not a wikipedia of outdoor knowledge.

It would be helpful if on the profile we could set the default editor for working with content. I would still like the temporary switch link as well. I'd suggest the new editor be the default for the radio buttons.

I’ve always been a fan of the current voting system under which votes 6-10 are positive, i.e. they add to the page score. The only grade I have not used during the last year is probably 2. However, watching how others vote I’ve come to think the grading scale should be simplified. I suggest modifying the current system by changing all votes 1-2 to 1, 3-5 to 2, 6-7 to 3, and 8-10 to 4. The new guide to the meaning of the vote values (roughly): 1 does not fit in SP, should be deleted 2 full of errors or lacking key chapters 3 little info or few illustrative photos 4 very good to excellent

I am new to this hobby and love it so far. I am looking for guidance on what or what not to do. How to prevent injuries (blisters, toenails falling off etc). What equipment is really necessary and what is a waste of time. Good energy foods to eat before and during hike, allowing for diabetics as well. Good trails to start with. Understanding and defining terms and terminology. I have done several hikes and did Timpanogas this past week, probably wasn't ready for it. Basically looking for a beginners page/intro to hiking.

Sea-doo ads are the very antithesis of why I'm in the mountains and on SP -- motorized madness, loud engines, screaming, & smoke invade everywhere. WE built this website on rocks & bedrolls.

Quality photos, pages, and posts often go ignored if posted by a 'regular' member. I've seen plenty examples where a new photo from the same vantage from a popular SP'er gets way more attention than a better, previously posted pic. Similarly, I can see how this issue leads folks to stop participating in the site, only to have someone else grab their pages and take the credit. Some competition is great, but it's a little frustrating how the system works.

When doing a search, I am restricted to five or six categories. I suggest an Advanced search with the ability to drill down to smaller categories based on geographical location. For example, I'm looking for posts about wildflowers in the Olympics. So I would look in Pacific Northwest, Olympic Peninsula, Wildflowers
