The Copic Certification Program is designed for papercrafters, scrapbookers, rubber stampers, storeowners, employees, and anyone who is interested in learning about Copic products. Our one-day intensive programs will teach diverse applications for Copic products with the intent of people sharing their knowledge with their classes, stores, workshops, or furthering their personal talent. You may take back-to-back certification classes. You may also apply for both the Standard and Intermediate classes at the same time -- as well as in the same location when offered. If you are a teacher and wish to be added to our Certified Instructor List, please contact us once you have become certified at the Standard and Intermediate levels.

FAQ

How can I find out about upcoming classes in my area?

Please sign up for our newsletter.

How long is a Certification class, and what should I bring?

The Standard Certification class runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Intermediate Certification class runs from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm. Both classes include a one hour lunch break. Everything you need for the class will be provided. If you choose to bring your own supplies, please mark them clearly with your name.

I am a fine artist. Should I attend a Certification class?

Absolutely! You are welcome to come and learn all about our markers. We also have a fine arts division, which you may also be interested in. To invite us to a university classroom, or fine art store or event, check out our events page.

Why should I become certified?

Our Certification classes will provide you with a well rounded view of how our markers work and which papers work best with our markers. You will receive an in-depth manual of techniques and information for each individual class (there is a standard manual and an intermediate manual).

Can I retake the class?

Absolutely! There is a lot of information presented to you in the Certifications, so retaking the class is encouraged! The retake fee is $60 for the Standard Certification class and $100 for the Intermediate Certification class.

How do you choose locations to host Certification classes?

We try to go to different towns that have a huge draw for our attendees. Most of the time we do not repeat towns, however, if a class fills and has a long waiting list, we will try to revisit that area within the year. All venues are at neutral locations (not stores) chosen by the instructor.

Can I take the Intermediate Certification class if I haven't taken the Standard Certification class?

No. You must take the Standard Certification class first before you can take the Intermediate Certification class. You can apply for both classes at the same time -- as well as in the same location when offered.

How large are the classes?

The Standard Certification class has between 30-35 people in each class. The Intermediate Certification class is smaller, with 25 people or less.

Can I take classes back-to-back?

Yes. You may also apply for both the Standard and Intermediate classes at the same time -- as well as in the same location when offered.

What is your refund policy?

You can find our Certification and Workshop refund policy here.
