This week we look at some fun apps, from the clever Flight ControlHD and how they made it different for the iPad to a really simple Twitter app, TweetFeed that shows you one tweet at a time – a nice slow pace!
Share my Playlists Developer: sharemyplaylists.com/ Version 1.1
Free
Access to over 20 thousand ready made playlists. You can search by artist, title and playlist. You choose the playlist you want and it launches the spotify app. You can also search by genre which is great if you are unsure what you feel like. Remember this free app is to acompany the Spotify app, so you must have the paid for service from them to use it. You can access the sharemyplaylists.com site and the playlists (submit your own!) without the spotify member services or the app.
Tweet feed Developer Unit9 Version 1.0
FREE
Tweet feed is a nice simple app. Essentially it shows you one tweet at a time. You can have the source of the tweets come from your own twitter stream, the tweets o another user, or a hash tag. It makes a really nice little feed on your desk so it isn’t too distracting yet is nice to be able to glance down and read the tweets. You can also set the time interval between tweets. It’s a freebie so I think it is totally worth a try.
TweetList Developer: Zooble, LLC Version 1.3.0
$2.99
This app was a total surprise to me. I thought it sounded interesting and was expecting a lightweight twitter app that focused on lists, but that is not what you get. It is great for lists, but it is also great as an all round twitter app! You can swipe through your lists, which makes them really quick to look through. There is support for more than one account. Auto refresh on the views, full DM conversation threading, unread counts… the list of features goes on. If you are looking for a good list supported Twitter app – this is a great bet.
Flight ControlHD Developer: Firemint Version:1.0.3
$4.99
This game was fantastic first time round so I am so glad to be able to bring you the iPad version and still be totally in love with it. They have included all the original maps but didn’t stop there – they have added maps, some interesting new gameplay, multiplayer and a real bonus 3D map that you will need your 3D glasses for!! When I saw that I was amazed, and wonder if other game developers will do the same. Such a fantastic idea, even if I can’t play it for too long without feeling a little queasy. Great game, worth the price to bring it to the iPad.
SafeNote Developer: Code Drop Version: 1.7.0
$0.99
This is a handy little notes app that has the added feature of being able to password protect your notes if you want.
You are not limited to fixed fields and you can use it like a regular notes app. You can set a recovery question as well – just in case. There are three visible tabs ‘ABC’, ‘Recent’ and ‘Favorites’. This means you can switch quickly between an alphabetically organised list, all your favorite notes and those you’ve edited recently. Really great price for a simple notes app with a great bonus feature.
The Crystal Maze Developer: Dynamo Games Ltd. Version 1.3
On Sale $0.99
I loved watching this and it is fantastic that it is on the iPhone! It actually scales up ok on the iPad even though it isn’t an iPad version. You can play it in several modes, from pretending to be on the show – to just practicing the games, or competing against your friends. They have added more games and included a soundboard so you can play all the popular catchphrases from the show. A winner if you have seen the show, but it still is great if you haven’t.
Huge thank you to Bombay Stores who very generously provided us with the amazing bridal dress & jewellery that Christine is wearing this episode. Everyone there was so kind and helpful and really made sure we had the most amazing final look for the show. Thanks!! More information about all the folks who help us with clothing can be read on our about Team page.

Was brilliant, outfit. Where do you get the ideas from?
Flipping amazing dress!
Bob, I have to say it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life wearing that dress. The place it’s from Bombay Stores, took amazing care to choose every piece of jewellery and how it would all look. It was like being a queen for a day
