Information for current undergraduate students at the School of Geography

Welcome to the undergraduate student pages for the School of Geography at Queen Mary. You are now a member of one of the country’s top-rated geography departments and we hope that you will enjoy your time here and will find studying our modules for the exciting range of options available both challenging and rewarding.

In these pages you will find information on our degree programmes, including information on the structure of the programme and any compulsory modules that you must take. You will also find details of the modules that are currently taught within the school. This information is intended to help you make your module selections; once you have registered for a module you will be able to access more detailed information from the module convenor or from the QMplus area for the module.

Students from other departments and Associate students are also encouraged to consider taking an optional module from the School’s selection. In making your choices please note that some modules have pre-requisites, some contain fieldwork or other types of practical work. If a module is only available to students in the School of Geography this will be indicated in the module outline. If you have any questions about a particular module please contact the module convenor.
