TIMOTHY TRUMAN
Artist and writer Timothy Truman (www.trumanstudio.citymax.com) has been a comics professional for nearly thirty years. He is best known for his work on Conan, Grimjack, Turok, and Scout, the tale of an Apache warrior in post-apocalyptic America. His most recent book is Wilderness, the biography of frontiersman Simon Girty, who fought alongside the Iroquois during the American Revolution. Tim, whose grandfather was half Cherokee, says, “I’ve always been attracted to Native American culture and history. Scout was extensively researched, and that’s why it gained such a good reputation among Native American scholars and activists.” During production on The Soft-Hearted Sioux, Tim underwent intestinal surgery. Due to later complications, he was unable to complete the story by himself, and artists Jim McMunn and Mark Nelson kindly pitched in to help. Tim is now healthy and back at work on the adventures of Kit Hawken, a horror western character co-created with his son Benjamin.
