New Yorkers for Great Public Schools (NYGPS) released a report that exposes how the organization StudentsFirst NY, which aims to spend $50 million in the next five years to continue Mayor Bloomberg’s education policies, is being funded by billionaires who are out of touch with New York City public school families. They want to increase standardized testing, close more schools, replace teachers with computers, privatize school services, and continue the same education policies that have led to only 13% of Black & Latino students graduating ready for college.
