With nearly two decades of experience as a digital media executive and entrepreneur, Brian Sugar is cofounder and CEO of POPSUGAR, the web venture he began with his wife, Lisa, in 2006. As CEO, he is responsible for the overall business strategy and growth of the company, which has steadily evolved into a leading global lifestyle brand with more than 40 million users worldwide, connecting a primarily female audience with fresh entertainment, products, and experiences they’re most passionate about.

Prior to taking over the world at POPSUGAR, Brian spent nearly three years as Vice President and General Manager of media at 2Wire, Inc., a home broadband provider, and held several management positions in the retail and commerce industries. From 1999-2001 he was Chief Web Officer at Kmart’s BlueLight.com and previously served as Vice President of ecommerce at J.Crew and as a founder of Neptune Interactive, a leading Internet service provider.

Lisa Sugar’s passion for pop culture inspired her to start writing POPSUGAR in 2005. She decided to join forces with her husband Brian in 2006 to transform her hobby into the reality of POPSUGAR Inc. Since then, as Editor–in–Chief, she has grown POPSUGAR into the #1 publisher of original content for women. Driven by POPSUGAR’s mission to help women live their happiest and healthiest lives, Lisa now oversees a team of +100 content creators to bring to life must–know content across areas such as entertainment, celebrity, fashion, beauty, fitness, food, romance, parenting, and more. She is also the creator and curator of the beloved POPSUGAR Must Have boxes so that she could bring the best of POPSUGAR into the homes of fans everywhere. Thanks to her vision and drive, POPSUGAR is today known for its distinct voice as well as its premium editorial and video content created and shared fresh daily.

Prior to POPSUGAR, Lisa served as a media planner at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and at Young & Rubicam and began her career at Showtime and Fox. Lisa graduated with a degree in Psychology and English from The George Washington University. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, three daughters and Jack Russell.

As EVP of Editorial Operations, Krista works closely with Lisa to implement the vision and voice of POPSUGAR across its properties. She oversees a staff of 60 editors who write for the 18 lifestyle and entertainment sites that make up POPSUGAR Network. Krista brings to this role over seven years of finance expertise as an investment banker and finance manager. Prior to joining POPSUGAR, Krista served at San Francisco investment bank Savvian Advisors, where she advised both public and private companies in M&A transactions and private equity financings. Prior to Savvian, Krista served as Finance Director at Sugar Media, a digital media software company, acquired by 2Wire in October 2003. Krista is happy to finally be able to claim that obsessively checking POPSUGAR is part of her job.
Jason Rhee

With wide-ranging management experience in business development, marketing and sales, Jason Rhee is responsible for business intelligence and analytics at POPSUGAR. Prior to POPSUGAR, Jason was responsible for business development at Avistar Communications Corporation, previously spending two-and-a-half years as Product Marketing Manager for 2Wire’s Media business unit. He came to 2Wire through the acquisition of Sugar Media, where he was a founding employee.

Jason began his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), serving clients in the automotive, government, chemical and energy industries. Jason holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Arthur Cinader

As a member of the engineering staff, Arthur Cinader is an active contributor to the development of POPSUGAR's technology platform. Prior to Sugar Inc., Arthur served as Director of Product Marketing for 2Wire, Inc.'s media business. Before joining 2Wire, Arthur was a founder of and software developer for Sugar Media, a digital media software company acquired by 2Wire. Arthur founded South West Corner Productions, a New York City based software development company, where he signed and led development efforts for clients including Priceline, Slimfast, and Warnaco. Arthur spent more than a decade at J.Crew in various roles, including Managing Editor of the J.Crew catalog.
Sean Macnew
Sean Macnew  Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer

As COO and CFO, Sean Macnew is responsible for financial strategy and direction for POPSUGAR. Prior to joining POPSUGAR in 2008, he spent five years at Symantec and VERITAS Software in M&A, business development, finance, and operating roles. He was most recently Senior Director and General Manager of the NetBackup Realtime product group.

Sean began his career in investment banking for Goldman Sachs and Alex. Brown & Sons. As a banker he advised on M&A and financing transactions for technology clients, including the initial public offerings of eBay, E-Tek Dynamics and RealNetworks. He was also an early employee of Epinions, a consumer-review-powered shopping website acquired by eBay. Sean received a B.A. in Computer Science from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Stanford Business School, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
Jen L. Wong

With a blend of corporate and creative skills, Jen Wong leads business operations, business development, and strategic initiatives across POPSUGAR's growing media, commerce, and video assets. She is the day-to-day general manager for media and brings boundless energy and enthusiasm for all of the brands.

Prior to POPSUGAR, Jen held several management roles at AOL in The Huffington Post Media Group. She was the SVP/GM of AOL lifestyle sites as well as the global head of business operations, covering product, acquisitions, and ad sales strategy. She previously worked as an associate partner in the media and entertainment practice at McKinsey & Co. Jen holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS from Stanford in engineering economic systems and operations research, and a BS from Yale in applied mathematics (she likes school). She also serves on the board of BRIC Arts Media.
Melissa Davis
Melissa Davis  Executive Vice President & General Manager, ShopStyle

As EVP and GM of POPSUGAR’s ShopStyle, Melissa Davis leads the site’s on-trend management and its partnerships and relationships for over 1,300 retailers, helping ShopStyle become the leading fashion shopping search engine, which drove more than $750 million in retailer sales in 2013. She also runs ShopSense, a blogging program with more than 10,000 participants.

With nearly a decade of digital media and ecommerce experience, from 2007-2008, Melissa served as director of business development at CNNMoney.com, where she managed strategic partnerships for digital content distribution and headed new technology integrations with mobile and video. She previously brought her skills to The Knot, a life-stage media and ecommerce company, focusing on its registry business unit in her role as senior manager of business development. Davis began her career as an IT specialist for IBM after earning a BBA in MIS (management information systems) at The University of Texas at Austin.
Genevieve Kunst
Genevieve Kunst  VP & Managing Director of POPSUGAR Europe

As Vice President and Managing Director ShopStyle Europe, Genevieve Kunst is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and growth of the European business. Genevieve has spent more than a decade working across Europe in the e-commerce and mobile industries. She most recently served as the UK Director of Supply and Merchandising for Thomas Cook Online, where she was responsible for the day-to-day commercial trading on ThomasCook.com. Prior to this, she held multiple digital roles at Amazon, including Head of Business Development, Digital Media, for Amazon Europe, rolling out its "Look Inside" product and launching the Kindle. Other positions in Europe included roles at T-Mobile, Bertelsmann and the start-up, Vitago. She started her career in her native U.S. working for her family’s textile business, Fabri-Quilt, Westdeutsche Landesbank and as a management consultant at A.T. Kearney. Genevieve holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MA in International Studies from The Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Carleton College in History.
David Grant

Drawing on decades of experience as a content producer and Hollywood executive, David Grant is the highly respected éminence grise who, like the wise wizard behind the velvet curtain, leads POPSUGAR Studios, the LA-based unit of POPSUGAR that develops, produces, and distributes branded digital video content, TV, and film. David segued into the position following a two-year tenure as cofounder and CEO of Shopflick, a video-powered ecommerce marketplace for fashion and lifestyle products acquired by POPSUGAR in 2009.

David previously founded and served as president of Fox TV Studios, a prominent producer of scripted, reality, and documentary television worldwide. During his tenure, the studio produced diverse shows such as the drama The Shield, the Emmy- and Peabody Award-winning sitcom Malcolm in the Middle, the globally popular reality series Temptation Island, and the Emmy-winning series Biography. From 1991-1995, David was an executive VP at Fox Network, where he oversaw the network’s acquisition of programming and played a key role in the start-up of Fox Sports, the NFL on Fox, the FX Network, BSkyB in the UK, and STAR TV in Asia.
Alex McNealey

As Executive Vice President of Operations at POPSUGAR, Alex McNealey is responsible for the strategic management and business operations of advertising campaigns, including driving overall yield optimization, sales operations, and display and video management strategy. In addition, he is responsible for driving the business strategy and operations of POPSUGAR Must Have, the company’s thriving subscription commerce business as well as managing content operations for ShopStyle.

Prior to POPSUGAR, Alex held several key management roles at Cisco, including Business Manager of Consumer Products for North and South America. He segued to Cisco after serving as Director of Operations for nearly nine years at Pure Digital Technologies (later acquired by Cisco), the makers of the award-winning Flip camera. Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.
Eileen Carty
Eileen Carty  EVP, Brand Partnerships

As Vice President of National Sales, Eileen Carty is responsible for developing branded content partnerships, display and video revenue streams and marketplace awareness for POPSUGAR. Since joining POPSUGAR in 2008, Eileen has transitioned from East Coast Sales for POPSUGAR, bringing a high degree of strategic insight and personable creativity to the post.

Prior to POPSUGAR, she established her reputation for building sales territories and strategies from the ground up at start-ups such as Glam, Myspace, and Cars.com. Eileen earned a bachelor's degree from Fairfield University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business.

Eileen lives in Fairfield, CT, with her three beautiful children, amazingly supportive husband, and the newest member of the family, their dog Gemma.
Anna Fieler

Passionate about helping women lead more inspired lives, Anna Fieler serves as Executive Vice President of Marketing for POPSUGAR.  Anna leads a robust team in overseeing brand marketing, content strategy, PR, events, and digital marketing for POPSUGAR Inc brands including ShopStyle, POPSUGAR Must Have, and all its lifestyle media properties.

Building brands that serve women has been a theme in Anna's 20-year marketing career. Anna’s prior experiences include being the CMO of Stella & Dot and VP of marketing at Tiny Prints, where she built the brand from a niche upstart to a household name, resulting in a highly successful acquisition by Shutterfly. As an early pioneer of ecommerce, Anna spent seven years at eBay during its hyper-growth stage. Anna is a sought-after expert on social media, ecommerce, and mobile marketing. She is equally versed in traditional marketing, having started her career Mad Men-style on Madison Avenue at Ogilvy & Mather, where she was trained in the art of the "three-martini lunch" while stewarding an iconic American brand — Dove. Anna holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated magna cum laude from Brown University. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two children.
