Building An Online Business VS Making Money Online

spacer When I hear that people want to make money online I think that they are looking for quick ways of getting money to help pay the bills, save up for an expensive purchase, need some more money to live a bit more free, need money for partying or just have some free time which they would like to spend productively and earn some money. Also I think that they are secretly looking for a secret second job, they are ready to do tasks for which they will get paid, just like in a job.

Usually these people end up on silly sites clicking some lame ads and earning pennies, not quite what they have expected after reading about all those self made internet millionaires. Still, if they are lucky they will land on an outsourcing site and will start their outsourcing career which is like a job on the internet. Which is what they are actually looking for and it is all good, you can earn some decent amount of money, if you have in demand skills and if not you can always take time to learn them.

Internet is a crazy place, you can never know where a path goes and on which path you will land on. My path was different I did start the make money road, but I didn’t followed it all the way to outsourcing, I turned to building a business. Now, I’m sure as hell that not many people go to the internet and search for ho to build a business online. 5 years earlier I would have say there’s is no business online. I didn’t even had a thought like that, but making money online and building a business online is very related, they are like synonymous to each other until you dig deeper.

Most people need to be educated that they can do something better on the internet than just do tasks and get paid, the idea of building a business has to be revealed to them as it had to be for me as well and I will try to do this right now. So, what are the differences between building an online business and making money online?

Firstly, the money. In business you can’t be guaranteed that you will get paid, you are taking a risk and hiring someone to do tasks for you which will likely make you a profit or not. You can’t really know, but you just pay a flat fee to the employee and hope for the best. When building a business you can’t expect to get paid the next day, because you get paid for results and not for tasks that you have done like in outsourcing.

Sounds like a huge minus for building a business, but if you have the right mindset, it isn’t, if you are willing to risk you will be rewarded so much greater. In business money comes slow, but when it starts going you just can’t stop it, but it takes time to reach that level when you start earning residual income, with very minimum efforts. An employee avoids the risk and gets a flat paycheck and an entrepreneur takes the risk and is set to earn millions.

Which do you want? Play it safe and earn some money from the internet or are you willing to invest the time and build a real business that can pay you real money for years to come? I choose to build a business and if you do to check out Empower Network.

    Hi Liudas,

The best thing to sell on the internet is information.

When you’ve learnt how to do something, write out the process, or record yourself doing it, and you can sell this to other people who want to know this information.

Hundreds of people join aweber because they bought a list building product, but they know nothing about how to install the form, or even set up a website.

I’ve made hundreds on fiverr helping these people out, and guess what – many of them are now on my mailing list and buy the products or services that I recommend.

You need to spend time becoming the expert, and then good things happen.

Yeah, when building a business you don’t have to come up with a revolutionary idea that would change the world, it can be simple as selling information about stuff you know how to do and by time you learn more complex stuff and you start expanding.
