Many national and international climate programs, and federally funded projects, regularly publish explanations and data on climate change.
National and International Resources:
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The IPCC assesses the scientific, technical and socio-economic information relevant for the understanding of the risk of human-induced climate change.
United States Global Change Research Program (USGCRP). The USGCRP coordinates and integrates federal research on changes in the global environment and their implications for society.
Regional Resources in the Pacific Northwest:
Oregon Climate Service (OCS). The OCS is the state repository for weather and climate information.
Climate Leadership Initiative (CLI). The CLI is a social science-based global climate change research and technical assistance program.
Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments (RISA). The RISA program supports research that addresses complex climate sensitive issues of concern to decision-makers and policy planners at a regional level.
Parameter-elevation Regressions on Independent Slopes Model (PRISM). PRISM is a unique knowledge-based system that uses point measurements of precipitation, temperature, and other climatic factors to produce continuous, digital grid estimates of monthly, yearly, and event-based climatic parameters.
Agriculture Climate Network. The AgClimate Network is a web-based hub for data, analysis and communication between regional scientists and stakeholders about climate change and agricultural and natural resources topics.
