Marco Armiliato, considered one of today’s most respected opera conductors, is a frequent guest in the world’s most prestigious opera houses. Highlights of  the 2014-2015 season include returns to the Metropolitan Opera for Aida and La Traviata, Opernhaus Zürich for performances of La Fanciulla del West and La Traviata, Wiener Staatsoper for Tosca, Andrea Chenier, L’elisir d’amore, and Don Carlo, and Deutsche Oper Berlin for Faust. This past season included performances of Tosca, La Sonnambula and Madama Butterfly at the Metropolitan Opera, and Madama Butterfly at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. European appearances included Rigoletto and La Bohème at the Bayerische Staatsoper, La fanciulla del West at Opernhaus Zurich, and a concert tour through Europe with Anna Netrebko conducting the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra. Last season, he made his long awaited Lyric Opera of Chicago debut conducting performances of Madama Butterfly to critical acclaim.

In future seasons Maestro Armiliato will appear at The Metropolitan Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, Opernhaus Zürich, Wiener Staastoper, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona

Marco Armiliato has an extensive discography. His most recent media projects have featured Renée Fleming, Angela Gheorghiu, Anna Netrebko, Placido Domingo, Jonas Kaufmann and Rolando Villazón, among others.  Recent opera DVD releases include The Metropolitan Opera’s productions of La Fille du Régiment with Natalie Dessay, La Rondine with Angela Gheorghiu and Lucia di Lammermoor with Anna Netrebko.
