Every month the Tech Report goes on the lookout for unique and useful gadgets. This time around we found lots of great gadgets for your home.

Starting with the TV.

You probably have lots of components hooked up to your entertainment system and Logitech’s Harmony Touch remote controls them all.

Unlike other universal remotes, it’s not crowded with tons of buttons. Instead, the Harmony replaces the messy button layout with just the essentials.

A touch screen gives you one click access to your favorite channels and commands. The Logitech Harmony Touch is $250.

Next up is a very special light bulb. Philips Hue wirelessly changes color all from an app. Set the mood in the room and even set on/off timers from the smartphone app.

The Philips Hue starter set is $200 and includes three bulbs.

Keep an eye on your sleeping baby, your dog or just about anything with Dropcam HD.

Setup is super simple: hook it up to your Internet at home and the camera streams live video and audio to your phone or computer. Added bonus: it can see in the dark.

The toughest part is figuring out how to hide the power cord. Dropcam is $150.

And, we saw it at CES 2013, now it’s one of our favorite things.

Hipkey keeps you connected to your phone, your kids, and more.

Select one of four modes–Alarm Mode, Safe Zone, Child Mode or Motion Mode–and you’ll be alerted when the device gets too far from you.

Finally, speaking of losing your wallet, Card Ninja lets you do just that–in a good way.

It’s a simple carrying case that expands to hold your cards and cash. It attaches to the back of just about any phone.

Card Ninja is just $20.
