Incoming/Current Students and Parents

Most forms and information can be found in ASPEN, which is our new student information system. If you don't know your Aspen login, email techhelpdesk@interlochen.org. New students and parents for Fall 2014: you will receive your ASPEN login in the following months.

To access the Academy Parent Resource Page in Aspen click on Page Directory on the left side to find the icon labeled "Academy PRC" Once you're there, click on the Add button to add the PRC to your pages menu, or just click on the book icon to go to the page.  Click here for instructions from our IT Support Page

The Academic and College Counseling professional staff is integral in the creation of the schedule matrix and course selection for both new and returning students to meet graduation requirements as well as post-secondary application requirements.

Experience the extraordinary talent of the Interlochen Arts Academy students and faculty all year long. Contact the Student Affairs office at 231.276.7378 or email academy@interlochen.org to receive your 2014-15 Parent Pass, which entitles you to four complimentary tickets to most* Interlochen Arts Academy performances.  You will still need to contact the box office to request tickets to reserve your seats.

*Some exclusions do apply.

The parent/guardian of a Day Student must call the Student Affairs Office 231.276.7378 to obtain a valid pass if illness, weather, or any other circumstance makes it necessary for the student to miss classes. Day students are subject to the same attendance policies as boarding students. If a Day Student must miss classes due to illness, a call from the parent/guardian must be received within 24 hours if a missed class is to be counted as excused. Please see the Academy Student Handbook for details on the attendance policy for Day Students.

Interlochen has teamed with SmugMug to offer current parents and alumni the opportunity to see and order prints of photos taken during the Academy year. Interlochen offers overnight accommodations of several styles. You may choose the Stone Center Hotel, which is centrally located on campus and is newly renovated. During the summer, Academy residence units are also open to accommodate guests. Interlochen also offers cabin-style lodges. These range from rustic to luxurious and from one-bedroom to three-bedroom units. Check rates and book online, or call 231.276.7570.

Join the Interlochen Arts Academy parents Yahoo! Group: The IAAparents Yahoo! Group is a forum for parents of current Academy students to network and discuss issues of common interest. Membership in this group is monitored and limited to Academy parents.

Every year, Interlochen students, faculty and staff produce more than 600 performances and presentations. It takes a lot of practice and rehearsal to maintain such creative energy throughout the year – and it also takes a healthy body and a clear mind. That's why the dining services team at Interlochen Center for the Arts strives to prepare the highest quality meals for students, faculty and campus guests.

Entrees and soups are made from scratch and menus are created weekly, allowing the food service staff to take advantage of fresh, local and seasonal products.

The Stone Cafeteria is located in the center of campus and serves students, faculty and staff throughout the year. During the summer, two additional cafeterias are opened – Lochhaven and Pinecrest.
