Open Evenings

We have a weekly Open Night every Thursday from 7pm til 10pm (and often later). We encourage anyone who wants to find out more about us to come down to the space, say hello, and see what we’re all about.

Our open nights are a great time to come along and see what we are all about. You can get a feel for the type of projects being worked on, the people and the equipment and resources we have.

Under 18-year-olds are welcome, but please understand that this is an adult-oriented environment – with associated dangers – and you should ensure that they are supervised at all times.

Meetups & Social Events

We often work with local community groups to provide a venue for meetups and other events.

Amongst others, we host the Dorkbot Brighton show-and-tells and the Brighton Raspberry Pi User Group (BrightonPI) meetups.

We also have informal social events like board games nights, food hacking afternoons and retro gaming evenings that visitors are welcome to come along to.

We announce all of our social events through Twitter and Facebook, as well as on our Google Group.

Brighton Mini Maker Faire

Last but certainly not least, we’re the team behind the hugely popular Brighton Mini Maker Faire.

Taking place every September as part of the Brighton Digital Festival, the Brighton Mini Maker Faire is an interactive festival of creativity and invention. The family-friendly event  brings together makers from all over the country to show their projects, share their passion for making, and inspire visitors to have a go at making things themselves.

This year, we’ll be packing out the Brighton Corn Exchange and Dome Foyer Bar on Saturday 6th September with robots, crafters, science, coding, games and toys, metal and woodworking, model-making, costumes, and homebrew electronics.
