spacer Budweiser bills itself as the “King of Beers,” and when it comes to Facebook engagement for advertisers during Super Bowl XLVII, according to a study by analytics outfit Unmetric, it was also the ruler, followed closely by sister brew Bud Light.

Unmetric said the 38 brands that ran TV ads during the big game were responsible for 254 Facebook posts mentioning the game, or an average of eight apiece, with Coca-Cola and Lincoln responsible for 18 posts apiece, while Skechers USA, Jeep, Chrysler, and Ram did not post at all during the game.

Unmetric analyzed the brands using its engagement score, which factors in likes, comments, shares, and estimated impressions.

According to Unmetric, Budweiser and Bud Light posted the highest scores during the Super Bowl, while brands that underperformed included Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, and Lincoln.

When it came to individual posts, the top three performers were:

  1. The first look at Budweiser’s Clydesdale ad.
  2. The first look at Hyundai’s Turbo ad.
  3. Hyundai’s contest giving away seven Super Bowl tickets.
