Shine Global's short documentary INOCENTE, directed by Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine, has been nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Documentary Short Subject! The film tells the story of fifteen-year-old Inocente, a homeless, undocumented immigrant, who clings to her determination to become an artist in the face of a bleak future.
Co-founded by Albie Hecht and Susan MacLaury, Shine Global is a non-profit film production company dedicated to ending the abuse and exploitation of children worldwide. This is their second Academy Award® nomination.
