Genocide in the domestic criminal law of 80 nations

Montenegro is the 140th Party to the Genocide Convention; 140 Nations are State Parties; Over 50 Nations are NOT, including Indonesia, Japan and Nigeria. Recent new parties to the Genocide Convention include Montenegro 23 Oct. 2006, Andorra 22 September 2006, Bolivia 11 December 1948 14 June 2005 and Comoros 27 September 2004.

spacer Japan is the 105th State Party to the International Criminal Court. On July 17, 2007 Japan became the 105th party to the Rome Statue of the International Criminal Court. Participation in the ICC now include 23 State Parties in the Americas, 30 in Africa, 13 in Asia, and 40 in Europe. Most recently Madagascar came the 106 State Party on March 14, 2008.
    
Established on July 1, 2002, the ICC is currently investigating crimes committed after that date in Eastern DR Congo (Kinshasa), Northern Uganda (both States which are Parties to the Statute) as well as Darfur, Sudan (a nonparty State).
