The American India Foundation works closely with corporations and foundations to fill critical funding gaps in our programs while enabling us to expand our work into new areas and accelerate impact. Many corporations and foundations partner with us not only to meet crucial development needs in India, but also to establish philanthropic and community engagement platforms across India and providing a nourishing and enriching environment for communities that they serve.

Adobe Foundation

The American India Foundation has partnered with Adobe to implement its Adobe Youth Voices program since 2008 and is proud to be its largest partner in India with 65 sites in Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar. Adobe Youth Voices is the Adobe Foundation’s global signature philanthropy program that empowers youth in underserved communities around the globe with real-world experiences and 21st century tools to communicate their ideas, exhibit their potential, and take action in their communities.

American Express

American Express began supporting AIF’s leadership development program, the William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India, in 2013. The partnership sponsors five Clinton Fellows and recruits AIF Fellowship Host NGOs for potential inclusion in the annual American Express Leadership Academy for emerging NGO leaders.

Applied Materials Foundation

The Applied Materials Foundation has supported our work in livelihoods, education, and leadership since 2006. Applied Materials has supported more than 100 Digital Equalizer centers in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, provided scholarships for high-need children to receive technology education programs, set up solar-powered schools, and sponsored William J. Clinton Fellows in a number of regions and issue areas.

Citi Foundation

Citi Foundation has supported the Market Aligned Skills Training (MAST) for underprivileged youth since 2011, focusing on the development of financial literacy training curricula for MAST which will be widely disseminated through interactive training programs and an innovative mobile application. The partnership includes support of 14 MAST Centers in Delhi NCR and Jaipur, resulting in more than 3,100 youth trained, 75% of whom are expected to be placed in formal employment in the service sector.

Dell

Dell has supported the Digital Equalizer since 2009 in 99 schools to provide more than 70,000 underserved youth and more than 1,400 teachers with access to technology and empower them with 21st century skills. Dell also expanded its support of Connected Classrooms to 30 schools, creating a collaborative, technology-enabled learning environment for 12,000 students.

Human Dignity Foundation

The Human Dignity Foundation is a lead donor of our LAMP Pathways program, which helps to increase demand for education and enables girls to attend secondary school in the Kutch district in Gujarat, India. The latest innovation of AIF’s signature LAMP program, providing access to quality education for migrant communities across India, LAMP Pathways is a project of the prestigious Partnership to Strengthen Innovation and Practice in Secondary Education (PSIPSE), a global multi-donor collaborative to accelerate innovation in secondary education, programming, research, and development.

ICICI

 

The American India Foundation has partnered with ICICI Bank since 2010 in the area of leadership development to create the next generation of global leaders through the William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India.

John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation

The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation is a lead donor of our LAMP Pathways program, which helps to increase demand for education and enables girls to attend secondary school in the Kutch district in Gujarat, India. SanDisk

SanDisk has supported the Digital Equalizer since 2006, offering both financial and in-kind support. SanDisk and American India Foundation have expanded the long-term partnership in 2015 through site-specific support for Digital Equalizer in semi-urban and urban schools in Karnatka, the program’s largest presence, and helping to create Learning Resource Centers for migrant communities in the Learning and Migration Program (LAMP) in some 250 villages across Gujarat and Odisha, reaching more than 30,000 children.
