About me

spacer I live to write and write to live. This has been my motto for years as I studied the craft from all angles. The latest “revolution” has everyone’s heads spinning. I studied the traditional model for years, then took out some time to study the new model as well to ascertain the truth (or lack thereof) of the cries of riches and rewards.. And in general, the answer lies somewhere in between. So I am now stepping out from my research desk and spreading my wings as far as they will go. I have decided that the hybrid model is the best for all parties involved.

I have been working the Story Cartel Courses lately and I am thrilled at what Joe Bunting has set up as a community. Currently, I am working on an anthology that was born out of that course. I write flash fiction, short stories, my literary fiction book “The Grove” I am working on. My suspense series, The Social Media /Suspense Series, starts with The Cursor, The Book of Face, and a third in the series with the working title of “Pinteresting People”.  You can find me on my book marketing blog www.thepointofthequill.com, on Google+, @LeeJTyler, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest and other social media and forums where writers gather to talk about what they should be doing. ;p Soon, I will open the doors to my author website www.leejtyler.com. Come visit, I would love to hear from you!

More? Ok…

I’m the kind of girl who can’t watch this without crying, no matter how much I watch it; I’ve lost count now.

I value honesty above all else, except for God.

I value the thirst for knowledge, but the moral fiber to say, “No, beyond this point, we cannot go,” in the hunt for that knowledge.

I trust animals more than people, but I’m working on that.

I believe a good sense of humor will get you through anything. And I know from experience a great deal of what “anything” can define. Laugh, you’ll feel better.

Thank you, Matt. I appreciate you commenting. There is a post on writer’s block which you can find here: thepointofthequill.com/an-intro-to-procrastination-neuroscience-and-writers-block/ or just put in the keywords via search field. I am so glad whenever I get to talk one on one with a subscriber. If you find you have questions or need help, please do not hesitate to write, either in the comments as you did here or via my contact page. Keep writing.
