spacer   Nashville “guitar guru” Dave Isaacs’ Guitar Circle classes have been an ongoing series since the fall of 2013. The Guitar Circle is billed as “a group class for  strummers” and is designed to build skill and experience through playing familiar songs together as a group.

“Most people who pick up the guitar do hit a wall at some point” says Isaacs. “When that happens, starting to play with others is a great way to break through that block. It forces you to put your existing skills to work in a way that makes you a better musician, and ultimately that’s what makes you improve as a guitarist”.

Classes have been meeting steadily on Monday nights, with the next section scheduled to start on May 11th and run through mid-June. This time, Isaacs is offering a second, concurrent class on Thursday nights starting May 14th. The parallel class opens up an opportunity for people who can’t commit to Monday nights, and also allows for scheduling flexibility when conflicts arise. Students registered for either section can attend the other to make up a missed class, offering even more opportunities to play.

Classes will meet Mondays, May 11-June 15 from 6:30-8 PM (except Memorial Day, May 25th), and Thursdays, May 14th-June 11th from 7-8:30 PM. The fee is $150 for 5 class sessions. To register or to request more information, email dave@daveisaacs.com.
