About Us
The LCCGE is a research centre of Birkbeck College. As the only University of London College providing post graduate courses for students already working, Birkbeck had the basis of our academic / practitioner partnership in place, since our students are a de facto blend of both. A leader in governance and ethics research, Birkbeck draws on contributions from Management, Law, Economics, Politics, Sociology and Geography.
The result is insight that only comes from the shared experience of academia, practice and policy as we work to develop a fuller understanding of the theory and practice of governance policy and its implementation, of current events and – crucially – of what might happen next.
