Professional Development at the Center for Architecture
Continuing Education (CES)
The AIA New York Chapter offers over 100 courses and lectures annually for AIA CES credit, making the Center for Architecture the resource for continuing education for architects in New York City. Most CES events held at the Center are FREE to AIA members.

ARE Review Classes are available in eight-session Winter/Spring and Fall Series. Additional intensive and summer programs also availalbe. Visit the ARE Prep page (see tab above) for details.
The New York Chapter has some study materials available for Associate Members to borrow while studying for the exam. Click the licensing tab above for further details.
IDP
The Intern Development Program (IDP) is a required step in the road to licensure. For regular updates on important exam preparation, sign up for NCARB’s electronic newsletter “IDP News” at www.ncarb.org/idp/enews/index.html.
Interns should be aware that as of April 3, 2012 NCARB will implement the final phase of IDP 2.0. Become familiar with the IDP 2.0 changes and how it may affect your progress by referring to the 2.0 Rollover Calculator and other NCARB Resources.
