Island hopping simply means visiting one island to the next making you enjoy the feel of each island depending on the number of island you decide to visit. Island hopping best suites those who have a taste for adventure. The swaying palm trees, the tantalizing beaches and a bath in the water bodies provides a breathtaking experience. One of the places that must be mentioned for a great island hopping is Fiji. Fiji boast of more than 330 islands, great historical sites, delicious food, an exciting night life. Two of the most famous islands in Fiji are: Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. Viti Levu is remarkable for its beautiful beaches in particular areas such as Sunshine Coast. The island is also known for its wide range of accomodation. It is in Viti Levu where the capital city;Suva is located.
The Yassawa island in North west Fiji is also rich in scenery. The island is believed to be having the best beaches in the world with famous beaches such as Paradise beach and the Lovers beach hitting the headlines for their striking appeal. All this goodies make Fiji a destination to watch over for a a more adventurous island hopping.
On the other hand, The Malekula island coupled with its diversity will amaze you. The deeply rooted traditional customs of its people and their friendly gesture will make you die to visit Malekula island. In fact, you do not have to pay for the guides as the people themselves are more than willing to take you through the processes. Described by many as most preferred by many anthropologists,Malekula’s rich history gives it an edge over other island and a must-visit destination for you.
The Ambrym island;home to world’s most unique nature occurance;the volcanic mountains. The Benbow and Marum are the two of the most common active volcanoes known to exist in the south pacific island. This is the reason why many people refer to the Ambryn as a volcanic island. The island will also provide you with the strangest of tales about sorcery and magic which it is commonly known for. The wood carvings and Rom dances is also worth looking forward to when you visit the island.
The Espiritu Santo also provide a rich historical background. The ruins of United State’s World War II troops and crashed planes can be found within the island. You will also get thrilled by the virgin forests and the abandoned Quonset hurts.
Romantic gateways for a couple are, however, totally different from the usual adventure hopping. The couple may need to visit uninhabited islands, maybe explore the lagoons or just walk through the coconut grooves. South pacific island hopping can be a great experience for a couple. It is worth noting that the local charters are more convenient for a couple to move them around. However, they can charter a sailboat to move them along the islands.
