UrbanDaddy Enterprises is a lifestyle media company, focused on the intersection between hyper-relevant content and digital innovation. UrbanDaddy Enterprises curates editorial content, experiences, shopping and events across multiple platforms including email, mobile, online and offline.
Founded by CEO Lance Broumand in 2005, UrbanDaddy Enterprises is headquartered in New York’s Flatiron District and employs more than a hundred staff across editorial, e-commerce, technology and operations. The company is privately held. In 2011, Broumand was named a New York finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
In addition to the eponymous lifestyle title UrbanDaddy, UrbanDaddy Enterprises publishes five other editorial titles: Driven (auto), Jetset (travel), Kempt (men’s style), Manero (Latin American lifestyle) and Ski & Board (winter sports). UrbanDaddy Enterprises publishes premium local content in 12 cities, reaching more than 4 million members nationally. UrbanDaddy targets an affluent, college-educated audience interested in aspirational and connoisseur lifestyles.
In 2009, UrbanDaddy Enterprises launched the mobile application The Next Move, which Apple featured in a national advertising campaign for iPhone. The app has since picked up more than a dozen awards and has been downloaded more than 3.5 million times across iPhone and Android devices. A concierge-in-your-pocket, The Next Move app uses location, time, day and weather information to deliver venue recommendations based on situational context.
