Title:
Museum professionals talk about their work (web link)
Author(s):
University of Reading
Description:
People may think museum work is all about arranging and caring for objects, or that it's dry and dusty, or even that there is a mysterious world ' behind the scenes at the museum'. What is it really like? Here, seven museum professionals from Reading University's Museum of English Rural Life talk about their day-to-day work, their career paths and what motivates them. This resource has been created as part of the JISC funded project Object Based Learning for Higher Education (OBL4HE) - a project to create a range of online educational resources for university teachers and students based around the use of museum collections and archival material for enhancing learning.
