Surge Podcasts

Podcasting has been around since 2005 and allows your computer to check our site for updated content, and automatically download it onto your PC. If you have an iPod, you can even download the content straight onto that, thus the name podcast

Straight after a live show ends, Surge automatically generates a podcast for that show. Our radio licence does not allow us to distribute our show recordings in full, so our Podcast Generator 'magically' removes any copyright music and keeps the links between the songs. Our Podcast Generator won a bronze award for Best Technical Achievement at the 2009 Student Radio Awards. Show podcasts can be found on any Show Profile page or on the Podcasts page.

We also podcast our latest news content which is updated every weekend and broadcast on air at 12pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
