LEAD-Anglophone West Africa, (LEAD-AWA) is a member program of LEAD international; a UK based global organization initiated by the Rockefeller Foundation, USA in 1992. LEAD-AWA is hosted in Nigeria by the Foundation for Environmental Development and Education in Nigeria (FEDEN). LEAD has a fast growing network of over 2.500 professional leaders around 80 countries, all inspired and committed to achieving leadership and good governance for a sustainable world.

In addition, the following requirements apply:

  • Not less than 35-55yrs, matured  professionals considered on the Executive Program
  • University graduates/ HND with Masters equivalent
  • Must show work experience
  • Demonstrably strong interest in sustainable development
  • Capacity and openness to learn across cultures and overseas, with potential for national adaptation.

THE PROGRAM

Fellowship:Delivered in a spread of on and off the job sessions throughout the year, with research based field work and three nos 5-day sessions each, during the year, leading to membership of the prestigous global network of LEAD Fellows. You are exposed to real life action-learning projects on national challenges as you engage high level leaders as your Mentor Coaches.

Associateship:Build up your own curriculum and choose from our flexi, self-paced program to become a LEAD Associate. Develop critical skills for exemplary leadership, professional excellence and network with LEADers while you learn. Can be transferred into the Fellowship program.

Appropriate fees apply with limited spaces for partial scholarship, awarded on merit and competitive basis. Ask for details.
