The ghostwriter

Since 2005, I’ve concentrated on writing business books for other people. I’ve written about management, leadership, executive coaching, big data, business culture, project portfolio management (PPM), growth, resilience, branding, adaptability, change, education, history, e-Democracy, strategy, and complexity.

I spent the first half of my life in England. I grew up in a village outside of Oxford, and later went to art school in Winchester. There I studied fine art and philosophy before moving to the United States.  In numerous roles from salesman to acting CEO I’ve gained wide-ranging practical experience in business. But none so relevant as collaborating with leaders on writing their books.

I’m driven by curiosity. My personal commitment to life-long learning ensures that I always learn something new from each client. For many years I facilitated an evening Socratic philosophy group. Participants came from various occupations, primarily attorneys, writers, teachers, and businesspeople. This experience has been of great professional value. I learned to ask more insightful questions. As important as past achievements is my ability to listen, understand, and develop your ideas into a coherent whole.

Although my primary focus is writing books for business leaders, I also work as a consultant to discuss and shape ideas. In my experience previously undiscovered possibilities have a habit of emerging from these collaborative consulting encounters. Either way, success depends on a good match for both parties. And the best way to determine that is to connect with me over Skype for a initial brief meeting.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my wife Lynnette who has a razor-sharp editorial eye.
