Welcome to the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA). We provide many different types of information about the University of South Carolina, along with tools for easy data access.

Enrollment Data Portal

Official enrollment reports for previous terms and preliminary enrollment reports for the current term are available for all USC campuses and for Columbia colleges and schools.

Online Fact Book

Each year, the OIRA publishes an Online Fact Book which contains information for all eight USC campuses. The Fact Book is divided into three sections: the Columbia campus, the regional campuses, and the entire USC system.

Table Generator

The Table Generator produces customizable reports of Enrollment and Degrees Awarded data in HTML, PDF, and Microsoft Excel formats.

Fact Finder

The Fact Finder provides summary data and text from published University catalogs. This information is provided by more than 30 offices at the USC Columbia campus. Search by national survey, department, or keyword.

Common Data Set

The Common Data Set is published annually to provide information about USC Columbia and its students, faculty, and resources.

Institutional Effectiveness

Assessment and accountability reports for all USC campuses, including the State Accountability Reports that are submitted to the South Carolina State Budget and Control Board and reviewed by the Governor and General Assembly.

Assessment Plan Composer

USC’s online academic assessment management system designed to guide individuals who are developing an academic assessment plan for their unit. A user's access rights to this system are assigned by the Director of Institutional Effectiveness at the OIRA.
