spacer Join us for 100+ free guided walks celebrating New York!

On May 1-3, Jane’s Walk NYC will get thousands of New Yorkers out to our streets on over 100 walks in all five boroughs – by far the biggest Jane’s Walk yet!

This year’s incredible line-up of free ‘walking conversations’ will take New Yorkers on a tour through some of the biggest battles facing the five boroughs, and the secret histories that helped make this the greatest city on earth.

Where will you walk this year?

Some suggestions:

  • What’s next for Brooklyn Bridge Park? Get a preview tour of Pier 6
  • Get inside the ruins of a Beaux-Arts masterpiece in the South Bronx – sealed to the public since 1977
  • Art not ads: Watch the Times Square displays replaced with a new night-time installation
  • You’ve seen the High Line, but get ready for the Dry Line – New York’s best defense against the next Sandy (and borne out of MAS’s work with Rebuild by Design)!
  • Arepas, bahn mi, knishes, pig feet, bubble tea, and more: Tour New York’s foodiest borough at the Kickstarter-funded Queens Night Market
  • Remember the scientist who found 67 species of bacteria on the New York City subway? Wait till you hear what he has to say about the Lower East Side

These are just a few of the 100+ walks currently submitted!

So take a look at all the walks (and bike rides, beach outings, and street theatre). Lead a walk in your neighborhood. Talk to others on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with #JanesWalkNYC. And block off your calendars for next weekend – you won’t be able to fit it all in!

See you soon,
