I’ve longed loved this photo of what I thought was a photo of a flying circus tent or something.  Come to find out it is a whole photo series by Laurent Chéhére called Flying Houses.  I’m always taken with anything magical and surreal.  But, the fact that it is about houses, totally makes me swoon….la la love!  These are  are just a few of my favorites, but there are so many more stunning ones, here.

So the weekend is upon us, once again.  Fridays feel so full of anticipation.  I’d like to get my Mondays to feel that way, too.  Sometimes they do, but they are mixed with a large does of expectation, anticipation and a little anxiousness at the thought of will I get it all done?  I guess that is just a sign of still needing to work on taking one day at time.

But, for now I’m looking forward to this weekend…spending time with an out of town bestie.  A soul sister, really.

Beyond that, I’m thinking spring break and Easter.  Do you have any big plans for Easter?  Any lovely traditions?  I need to start making more holiday traditions.  I didn’t have a ton growing up, but the little things we seemed to repeat each year are things I find myself trying repeat with my kids now.

Speaking of Easter, I shared the easiest Easter eggs ever this week, if you are going to be dipping, dying or coloring.

Happy Friday, lovelies.  I hope your week has been a good one.  Although, it’s freezing, it is sunny and I have the promise of warm weather awaiting me next week…..my soul sighs.

In other news, my lob got a lift.  I decided to go above the shoulders and go a bit blonder.  I’m still hoping to go lighter than this, but it’s a process they tell me.  The cut feels like an actual change, which is just what I was needing.  Now, I’ve just got to learn to style it, beyond soaking myself in sea spray (I’ll be studying this post this weekend).  Oh, and pretty coffee.  I had a pretty coffee this week, and little things like that can be such big things, sometimes.

Happy friday!  Or, happy freezing friday, to many of you.  How was your week?  I’d like to say mine was productive, or inspiring, or lively, but it wasn’t.  It was the very normal kind, where most of the good stuff lives, if we look for it (I’m learning this art, which doesn’t come natural to me or likely anyone).  We stayed in, and then tried to get out, basketball games, tv watching, field trips to a Wizard of Oz play and the easiest (and cheapest) trip, I’ve ever made to IKEA.   So, I guess I did accomplish something new.

well, poop was popular on instagram this week.  a poop emoji pillow that is.  who doesn’t like using the poop emoji every now and again.  when my oldest saw that there was an actual plush version of this smiley poop, well, it went straight on her santa list.  i admit, potty talk is popular in our house.  just the usual, poop face, butt, booty variety.  i’ve tried 9 long years to keep it at a minimum, but with 3 boys i think the odds are against me.  i only have one brother, but it might as well have been three with the amount of times i heard poop this and poop while we were growing up.  we even learned how to say a few potty words (poop, pee, fart, to be exact) in chinese from our neighbors.  anyways, in case you like the pillow as much as we do ….
