Ok, this post might get me in trouble. I’ve been working with Annie of Live Simply to get my shit together, aka my closet especially. We’ve been purging SO much… but now I have all these empty hangers and Shopbop is having their Friends & Family sale event… I guess I should apologize to Annie in advance?
Here are some of my absolutely must-haves from the sale:
from left to right, top to bottom: Rag & Bone wide leg jeans, 3.1 Phillip Lim soleil bag, 3.1 Phillip Lim martini heels, Isa Tapia block heels, Maiyet Harmony ring, Jerome Dreyfuss fringe pouch, Mara Hoffman midi dress, JETSET top, Free People midi knit dress, Ulla Johnson d’Orsay heels, See by Chloe striped sandals, Acne Studios wedges.
p.s. to get 25% off your Shopbop order, use code SPRING25 at checkout through April 9 at 11:59 pm.
Guys, it is nearly my birthday (the big 3-0) and I’ve barely even thought about it. I’ve just had SO much going on… it’s sort of slipped through the cracks. I was shopping for dresses for a photoshoot the other day and it sort of hit me that my birthday is next week. Sort of weird, right? As I’ve gotten older, birthdays don’t seem to hold the same weight that they did when I was younger. This year, I don’t really expect gifts from anyone, but instead I want to treat myself to one really great thing. A pair of gorgeous shoes that I’ll wear forever, a delicious new perfume, a massive stack of books… that’s sort of what I’m thinking. I’ve given myself a pretty decent budget to work with so I can have a ‘treat yourself’ moment. Here are a few things I’ve had my eye on lately.
I’m having trouble deciding on just one thing to splurge on…
shop the post:
shoes: Chloé lace up sandals, Aquazzura Belgravia flats, Valentino studded wedges.
perfume: Byredo Gypsy Water, Diptyque Philosykos, Mason Martin Margiela Lazy Sunday Morning.
books: The Flower Recipe Book, Why I Love Tattoos, The New Bohemians.
What is is about going to a new place that makes me want to reassess my entire wardrobe? Maybe it’s not just my impending move, but also the changing seasons, the fact that I turn 30 next month, maybe even that I feel strong enough to try dating again. Or… some combination all three. I don’t know. All I know is that I’ve got my eyes set on quite a few want list items this month.

And a few other sales of note:
Not to brag or anything, but the shopping in Amsterdam was pretty damn great. I’m still working on my recaps, but I’ll be sharing loads of recaps soon. Until then, here are a few more special treats that have caught my eye… cuz you know, the hoarding never ends.
To start, Dusen Dusen collaborated with West Elm — be still my textile designer/fashion lover heart.
Speaking of fashion… I think we can all agree that bucket bags are a huge trend this fall, but being me, I don’t want to carry around the one that everyone and their mom has. Plus, it’s always nice to support independent makers, which is why i love this version from Remnant.
