The custom options we offer really make the difference in the overall style of a tent. It is almost like adding its personality! The valance choice particularly sets the mood of a given tent. A waves valance is certainly more playful than the strong box valance and the roman valance is romantic and exotic. Valances and the other custom options define the character of the tent, so do consider them carefully.

Pole Covers

Pole covers are a necessity as they disguise your bamboo or metal frame. Pole covers have three options; solid color, candy cane stripe of two colors or color bands using two colors. Machine Washable.

Valences

Roman spacer The valance sets the mood of the tent and depending on how it is designed, really adds character. There are 5 valance styles to choose from; Roman, Box, Fishtail, Waves & Triangle. Once the valance selection has been made there are a few other options to consider.

A valance can be a solid color.

A valance can have contrast color piping.

A valance can have a block print design stamped on each of the hanging sections (light colored fabric required).

A valance can have embroidered & mirrored gold stars on each of the hanging sections.

A valance can be made of one of the printed fabrics, although it will not wear as well as the canvas.

A valance can also be just a fabric band rather than a hanging design.

In this case, the fabric can be a solid color or a printed fabric.

Dry Clean or spot clean with soap and water.

Tassels

spacer spacer spacer Cotton tassels can be attached to the backside of the valance. They are approximately 3” long and hang between each break in the valance design. Tassels can be solid or a mix of two colors. They attach with a simple hook and eye. Machine Washable.

Drapes

spacer spacer Drapes add richness to a tent when there are no side walls. Drapes are available in all of our solid or printed fabrics. Solid drapes are made of cotton voile while printed fabric drapes are a light cotton sheeting, like the interior linings. There are two drapes per pole and they attach on either side of the pole with a simple string tie. We recommend you order two or three different sets of drapes per tent so that you can change the look from time to time. Machine Washable.

Walls

spacer One of the biggest considerations when designing a tent is whether or not to have walls. Depending on the use for the tent walls may or may not be required. It certainly is good to have options and we recommend ordering the walls with the tent so that color dye lots will be a guaranteed match.

There are a two types of walls; permanent and rolled walls.

Permanent walls attach to the horizontal supporting poles and stretch from pole to pole where again they tie to the vertical side poles. Therefore a Khatoli would have four walls as there are 4 vertical poles and a Kensington would have eight.

Rolled walls also tie to the horizontal supporting poles but they are designed like a window shade and can be rolled up using pulley strings on the side. Rolled walls allow you to open up the tent without having to disassemble a wall.

Walls are made of cotton canvas on the exterior and are lined with the cotton sheeting on the interior. Any single canvas color can be selected or two colors for striping the exterior of the tent.

An additional option when considering walls is a CANOPY. A canopy is 10’ long by 7’5” wide and attaches to two poles on a tent. It then stretches out forward and has two supporting poles at the far end. The canopy creates a hallway or walkway before entering the actual tent. Canopies can go from tent to tent or can just add size to a single tent. The canopy, just like a wall will have an exterior canvas and interior “roof” of cotton lining. Additionally, a canopy has a valance that matches the tent.

Canopies are an additional cost to a regular tent.
