Since I started developing software applications back in 1981, I have been on a never ending quest to improve my productivity, focusing on development methods and “best practices” – Anything that works for me. Ada is yet a tool I have found that improves my productivity – I find it to be more readable and less error-prone than any other general purpose language I have ever worked with.
Primary interests: Embedded, Real-time and Mission-critical systems.

I have a simple goal: Getting rid of all the PHP code in my business, and replacing it with Ada. I started learning Ada in 2008, when the ever growing amount of PHP in my business was causing me to spend an inordinate amount of time tracking bugs and fixing small annoyances.
Ada has so far turned out to be a marvelous companion. It’s in a completely different league than PHP. I truly enjoy working with Ada and, dare I say it, I believe it has helped me become a much better programmer. At least I feel I’m generating far less hacks!
Around here I play the part of writer, newsmonkey and general chatter-box.
