Short bio

Bernardo Magnini is senior researcher at FBK in Trento, where he was co-responsible of the Research Unit on Human Language Technology from 2008 to 2014. His interests are in the field of Natural Language Processing, particularly lexical semantics, question answering and textual entailment, areas in which he has published more than 130 scientific papers. He has coordinated international research projects, including QALL-ME (Question Answering), LIVEMEMORIES (content extraction and integration), and EXCITEMENT (textual inferences). He has launched EVALITA, the evaluation campaign for both NLP and speech tools for Italian and has co-chaired CLIC-it 2014, the first Italian conference on Computational Linguistics. He currently coordinates the special interest group on NLP of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence. He has been contract professor at the University of Trento and Bolzano and he is member of the Scientific Committee of several initiatives, both academic and industrial.
