When Rainey Ann McKenna's dying husband asked her always to be there for his brother, Tex McCoy, she had no idea that five years later her promise would bring a murderer into her home. According to the conditions of his release, for the next three months Tex will be on house arrest before starting his probation. Obligated by a promise, Rainey takes the gorgeous but dangerous felon in. Tex McCoy may have gone to jail for murder, but after almost a decade of being incarcerated, he too is dead inside. Resurrecting any of Tex's feelings-including the ones he once had for Rainey Ann McKenna-could not only be hazardous to her heart, but fatal to her body. But beyond his crime, Tex has many other secrets, and with a single word spoken from the killer's mouth, Rainey's ordinary life will be changed forever...

I’ve said this before, but it’s just so true that I HAVE to say it again: Kelly Gendron does not have the ability to write a book that’s anything beyond spectacular. Her most recent book, Fatal Promise, was most certainly proof of that fact. If you are a fan of BDSM, erotic romances, then I absolutely promise you, that Fatal Promise is the  perfect book for you!

Promises are hard to break, but for Rainey, those promises are all she has left. But when she promised her dying husband that she would watch over his felon twin brother once he got out of jail, she had no idea how much her promises would change her and her young sons life.

When Tex McCoy was released from jail, he had no idea that his lifelong love, little Rainey Ann, would be the one to take  him in during his house arrest. But no matter how much he longs for the girl, he also knows a relationship between the two of them would never work. Rainey is too pure for him, and was married to and most likely still in love with, his dead twin brother. Tex may have loved her for years, but she will never be his because he would never allow her to become tainted by a murder’s touch.

Okay, I have to say this first: Tex McCoy absolutely rocked my fictional world. Phew… That man was the epitome of a tortured, sexy,  hero, and I fell for him… hardcore.  I couldn’t get enough of  his loving nature, and his need to be that alpha male. at the same time. Everything about him had me swooning and giggling like a little school girl. Rainey was equally as awesome. Her humorous words, her strong-willed personality, and her incredible bravery were so impressive that I rooted for her until the very end, and am still rooting for her even days after reading Fatal Promise.

Two characters constantly at war with their feelings for one another, has never actually been something I’ve enjoyed in a novel, but leave it to Kelly for changing my views on that! Tex and Rainey were at war one minute, but the next minute they were scorching up the pages of my Kindle they were passionate, sweet and just exactly what I have been missing! I loved, loved, loved Fatal Promise. I can’t even begin to say that enough times! Fatal Promise was gritty, emotional, and one of the best books I’ve read this year so far! So what are you waiting for? Go get Fatal Promise!!

Moline Illinois is where I currently reside with my three little girls, Kelsey Emma and Bella, and my fabulous husband Chris, with whom I’ve been happily married to now for ten years. I am a stay at home mom by day, something in which I absolutely adore by the way, and an avid and completely obsessive reader by night. I have always loved to read, from the time I first picked up a book, according to my mother. But up until two and a half years ago, I never found the time to really enjoy it. Now though, I don’t go to sleep without my Kindle or a book in hand. Reading is like my own personal escape from reality, and I honestly don’t know how I ever lived so long without it. The young adult genre is by far my favorite choice when it comes to books out there, but if there's romance involved, accompanied by the bad boy you hate to love, then you can most definitely count me in!
