We received a complaint about 26 miniature horses living in a muddy paddock. Many were underweight, had overgrown hooves, and were suffering from respiratory issues. Law-enforcement officials were aware of the situation but said that they could not reach the owner. We provided them with the owner’s contact information, and within a few short days, she agreed to surrender all the minis. They were transferred to a miniature-horse rescue, where they’re receiving veterinary care.
Almost all of us grew up eating meat, wearing leather, and going to circuses and zoos. We never considered the impact of these actions on the animals involved. For whatever reason, you are now asking the question: Why should animals have rights? Read more.
