According to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), Bangladesh has reached 40,800,000 Internet users in August, 2014. The largest part of them correspond to 39,300,000 mobile Internet users. WiMAX providers account for 271,831 subscribers.
