On October 25, Senator Espaillat, tenants, advocates, labor, clergy, and other elected officials will be marching in support of renewing and strengthening the rent laws this upcoming legislative session.

With funding from the Port Authority, Dolphin Park will receive improvements that will make the park even more welcoming for kids and adults alike and bring it into ADA compliance.

The Daily News applauds the Senate Labor Committee for voting to advance the Farmworkers Bill of Rights, which is sponsored by Senator Espaillat.

Senator Espaillat and Families for Safe Streets, whose members have lost loved ones in traffic collissions, call on Albany to allow NYC to reduce its speed limit.

Senator Espaillat submitted testimony to the Englewood Cliffs Planning Board in opposition of the proposed LG tower, which would soar above the treeline and destroy New York's scenic view of this federally-recognized historic and natural landmark.

After tenants complained of harassment, Senator Espaillat reached out to the NYS Tenant Protection Unit and HUD to examine the allegations.

After significant advocacy, the NYC Department of Transportation is implementing SBS on parts of 125th street, significantly reducing transportation time for straphangers.

Senator Espaillat and Upper Manhattan residents are outraged over LG's desire to spoil the sacred, landmarked Palisades.

In 2011, 23-year-old Josbel Rivera was struck and killed in a hit-and-run fatality. The driver who took Josbel Rivera's life can't escape appropriate charges simply because the weapon involved was a car. We owe it to Josbel to develop stronger enforcement and smarter policies for keeping our streets safe.

By a margin of only two votes, the Senate has failed to pass the DREAM Act, that would have given young undocumented New Yorkers the chance to attend college, pursue a career, and make their parents proud.
