10 Years Ago, Woodpigeon met Withered Hand at a show in The Tron, Edinburgh. Since then, much friendship has endured, and now we’re heading out on the road together to take Europe one city at a time (minus Reykjavik, which WP will take with Benni Hemm Hemm at his side).

Short Skin

spacer Having never soundtracked a film before, I was honoured to be asked to take a shot at setting Duccio Chiarini’s debut full-length feature film Short Skin to music. The film premiered at the 2014 Venice Film Festival and is now receiving its European cinematic release. Check out the trailer here, and watch for it in your neck of the woods.

Woodpigeon’s songs were recorded and mixed in a day-long session at thee mighty Hotel2Tango in Montreal with producer Howard Bilerman, straight to 24 track analogue tape. The band: Jonah Fortune on drums, Graham Lessard on bass, Catriona Sturton on telephone harmonica.

A pair of collaborative videos and show dates are coming soon. And so begins 2015.
