On Saturday, May 23 Fort Orange General Store is having a pre-show gathering before the 8pm showing of Magnolia Picture’s IRIS.

All are welcome to join us for a pre-show gathering at Fort Orange before the film. Guests are encouraged to dress up in the spirit of Iris– layer up your colorful accessories, and put on your more eccentric outfits. We’ll have a photo booth, drinks, and door prizes (including the famed lipstick “Pink Flamingo” by MAC’s Iris Apfel Collection). Show your movie ticket to receive 20% off your purchase in the shop.

IRIS portrays a singular woman whose enthusiasm for fashion, art and people are life’s sustenance and reminds us that dressing, and indeed life, is nothing but an experiment. Despite the abundance of glamour in her current life, she continues to embrace the values and work ethic established during a middle-class Queens upbringing during the Great Depression. “I feel lucky to be working. If you’re lucky enough to do something you love, everything else follows.”
