MESSAGE FROM THE SECRETARY GENERAL

Welcome to the ENEN Association Website!

The ENEN Association contributes to our society in the preservation and further development of the expertise in the nuclear fields working on the European higher education and training.

The co-operation between universities, research organizations, regulatory bodies and the nuclear industry delivers an increase of knowledge and enhancement of skills in the current and future European Nuclear workforce and scientific community.

At our core, ENEN aims for the for the safest and most advanced Nuclear technological knowledge.   

ENEN believes in the key role that the Nuclear Energy plays in the future of the sustainable development of Europe, and contributes to enable and foster our most gifted young people to participate in the solution of one of our greatest challenges; the access to sustainable and environment-friendly energy.

Our Association is fostering the knowledge available to and skills adopted by European engineers and scientists to gain the sustainable access to Nuclear energy. While, at the same time, the fundamental and applied research in the Nuclear field is leading the next steps to secure future energy supply regardless geographical dependencies.  

For the Nuclear scientific community:

• A more harmonized approach for education in the nuclear sciences and nuclear engineering in Europe
• An effective integration of the European education and training in nuclear safety and radiation protection
• A fruitful co-operation and sharing of the academic resources and capabilities at international level

will keep and increase the quality standards of our technological knowledge and capabilities.

For the Nuclear industries, research centers, regulatory bodies and nuclear applications:

• the creation of a secure basis of skills and technological knowledge of value to the European Union
• the maintenance of an adequate supply of qualified human resources for design, construction, operation and maintenance of nuclear infrastructures, industries and power plants
• the fostering of the necessary competence and expertise for the safe use of nuclear energy and all the applications of the radiation and nuclear techniques in agriculture, industry and medicine.

will increase the life standards of our societies with safe and sustainable energy supply.

The members of the ENEN association work daily for a prosperous future of technological development for safe and sustainable societies in Europe and worldwide, growing in knowledge and skills to achieve the basic mankind challenges in energy.
