Visualization and Health Literacy on Pollution in Chinatown Traffic pollution is a growing health concern in Boston Chinatown. A team of researchers from Tufts University, UMass Lowell and UMass Boston are developing and testing an intergenerational co-learning process on the toxic effects of traffic pollution in Chinatown. U.S. Census The Institute for Asian American Studies has posted selected data on Asian Americans and other groups in Massachusetts from the decennial census.  

Chinese Laundries in Massachusetts Oral History Project From the 1870s to the 1960s, a large proportion of the Chinese American population in the U.S. relied on laundry work to make a living. The Institute for Asian American Studies has been interviewing Chinese Americans who owned, or whose parents owned, a laundry in Massachusetts. 

Research Fellowship Program In 1994, the Institute for Asian American Studies established a Research Fellowship Program, which provides small grants funding to faculty, graduate students, and other researchers who conduct a study on Asian American issues.
