Spectacular Lava Spews From Mount Etna Eruption

Located near the Sicilian town of Catania is Europe’s only active volcano- Mount Etna. The volcano often erupts of the delight of on-lookers, as it put on another spectacular show on Saturday: Red lava spilled into the night sky reaching a height of 2,900 meters at a new crater on the southeast face of the volcano. Mount Etna is very active, and often erupts. Luckily its eruptions are not dangerous, and the population that lives around the volcano is at minimal risk.
