About
Name: Bill Hunt

I’m a web developer with nineteen years of experience. I mainly work with Ruby, Python, PHP, and Javascript, but I’ll use pretty much anything open source. I’m currently a senior developer at The OpenGov Foundation, primarily working on The State Decoded.
Previously, I’ve worked as the Lead DevOps Engineer at WillowTree Apps; technical lead for Boyd, Caton, and Grant - working on some projects for the Federal Transit Administration; Lead Developer and QA Manager for hotelicopter; Senior Programmer for Category 4 Design; and Head of PHP Development for Munk & Phyber (defunct).
I’ve also worked on various sites and projects for a bunch of really great people and nonprofit organizations. Here are a few that are my favorites:
- The State Decoded Project
- Charlottesville-Albemarle Legal Aid
