Young Leadership is the entry point for young adults to become involved in the Greater Washington Jewish community. We provide a social connection, networking opportunities, leadership development, philanthropic advancement and a deepening of Jewish knowledge in an effort to ensure that the communal values of one generation will be carried into the next. NEXT DC: The DC-area Birthright Israel Alumni Network
NEXT DC is dedicated to fostering an ongoing relationship among the more than 16,000 Birthright Israel alumni in the Greater Washington area. Based on a vision to further Jewish causes and support for Israel, NEXT DC allows participants and their peers to stay connected with one another, meet new friends, continue their Israel experience, and explore what the Washington Jewish Community has to offer. Taglit Birthright Israel: Shorashim – DC Community Trips
On the DC Community trips, experience the awesome adventure of Israel from the inside, through the eyes and hearts of your new Israeli friends. Along with other young adults from the Greater Washington area, travel for 10 days with Israelis your age, who share the beauty, excitement and complexities of their country with you.
From the liveliness of Tel Aviv, to Bedouin hospitality in the desert, to the diversity and spirituality of Jerusalem, experience the history, the vibrancy, and the challenges of modern Israel. Make lifelong Israeli and American friends and have the time of your life! This graduate and professional program (ages 22-26) is for residents of or graduate students in the DC Area only.

Masa Israel
Masa Israel Journey connects Jewish young adults, ages 18-30, to gap year, study abroad, volunteer and internship programs. Through these immersive experiences, lasting between five and 12 months, participants develop a deep, personal connection to Israel and Jewish life, and become Jewish leaders and lifelong advocates for Israel. Jewish Leadership Institute
The Jewish Leadership Institute (JLI) offers lay leaders and professionals working in a Jewish setting opportunities to explore and develop their personal Jewish leadership skills and style. JLI is committed to Jewish leadership education, Jewish leadership opportunities, and leadership recognition. JLI offers classes, training, networking, placement, and web dialogue across the Jewish community.

Mitzvah Mavens
Mitzvah Mavens are women from our community who are showing the true meaning of tikkun olam by repairing the world, one project at a time.
